Technology v Childhood , education & change in twentieth century
Childhood Memories we all have a story to tell. Times children
amassed by your estate or area during summertime . Games like manhunt,
kick the can, knock a door dash, hot days making plans to go swimming or
picnics in the park. Sadly twentieth century childhood is fading fast.
Now it's online interaction social networks, mobile phones, PlayStation or Xbox replaces these childhood street games. The adventures of going places with your friends is a rare occasion these days, . Technology has robbed our children of a childhood.
It would make no sense to say well I'm going to put limits on my child's use of things , your child wouldn't have anyone to play out with . Not only is interaction done from the confines of they're bedroom, they don't learn much about the dangers of the streets . Things we all learn from playing in the area we grow up in. To categorise examples you just can't , . Not all children are clued up to the real world . Technology has given us a great advantage for learning understanding.
It has so much to offer in a adults world, for a child in my view it comes as a cost to childhood memories growing up. There stories they tell they're children will consist of what game console, mobile phone Apple Mac and basically what they had in their bedroom. Of course when they attend school they interact with others but under strict rules and boundaries same as home .
The whole point of childhood playing outdoors was no parents watching you could do things you shouldn't like climb cross the road the only time you need worry if you got caught. We tell our stories to our children about growing up of course there will be loads of stories still the childhood as we knew it is fading fast , in the twentieth century . We can notice the change relating in they're education , much younger Teachers not holding the values the older generation believe in, Teachers who spent time with children without finding out would they be paid .
Those who seen something special in a child, took a interest in advancing the child now goes unnoticed , unchallenged, simply there isn't anytime nor are they're enough regular Teachers to notice gifted children . Sadly supply teachers are seen more often and homework is set online. Technology advances seem to affect the whole of twentieth century children they just don't know it.
