Why You're Broke
According to Kristin they're 6 SHIFTS you have to make to prepare for a life of debt free and abundance.
  • Poverty mindset: This is what may be keeping you broke and impoverished. If you possess a poverty state of mind, then you’re thinking, feeling, and behaving based off of what you don’t have. You worry about what you are lacking instead of being grateful for what you do.
  • Shift to prosperity mindset: I want to share with you 6 ways that you can break free from a poverty mindset and start shifting into prosperity, peace, happiness, and freedom. Because you have started to recognize how your mindset plays into your financial situation and other areas of your life, you can now start working on putting these actionable steps to good use.
  • Take out the trash: If you really want to see change happen in your life, then you’re going to have to do some spring cleaning. You know Negative Nancy and Debbie Downer that you’ve been hanging with? It’s time to get rid of them. You are the company you keep, and believe it or not, the people we hang around have an influence on how we think and behave
  • Fake it til you make it: In order to get to where you want to be, you’re going to have to do a little faking. You know how earlier I said that I started speaking positively, even when my finances were still a complete wreck? Yep, you have to speak on what it is that you want. You have to believe that you deserve more out of life than what you’ve had up until this point. You have to be confident in your ability to become prosperous.
  • Get Educated: One of the main reasons why people struggle so much with their finances is because they don’t take the time out to educate themselves and increase their financial literacy. Having the knowledge you need to make wiser financial decisions makes all the difference. A lot of people weren’t taught this stuff at an early age, but you can’t keep using that as an excuse bruh.
  • Set the Right Goals: How many times have you set goals only to forget about them almost instantly? If the goals that you set don’t push you to actually take action on achieving those goals, then you don’t have the right goals. Your goals (larger ones) should create a clear vision for you and outline what it’s going to take for you to get there (smaller ones).
  • Recognize Power and Control and Accept Responsibility: You have to stop blaming everyone for your actions and recognize that you are in control of what happens in your life.
  • Stop Spending All of Your Money: I know it may be hard, but it’s as simple as this: stop spending everything that you have. It doesn’t matter if you’re making $20K or $500K per year, if you don’t know how to manage your finances and save, you will never be able to build wealth. It’s not about how much you make, but about how much you keep.
